R. Gordon McNaughton, Jr., 79, of Williamsburg, Virginia, passed away on January 26, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Pedrick McNaughton; daughter, Heather Ann McNaughton; and son, Robert Gordon McNaughton, III.

Gordon was born on February 14, 1943 to Robert Gordon McNaughton Sr. and Ethel Roberta Moyer in Millville, New Jersey.  After graduating from Williamstown High School in 1961 he went on to study Math at Pfeiffer University and earn a B.S. degree.

Gordon and Gail married in 1963, and raised their family in Severna Park, MD. Gordon enjoyed a long career at CSX Railroad in Baltimore, MD, retiring in 2002 from his position as an I.T. Manager. They moved to Williamsburg, VA for their retirement.

They were members of Williamsburg United Methodist Church, and Gordon was a member of the Williamsburg National Golf Club. His hobbies included golf, traveling, and adding to his father's coin and stamp collection. He also enjoyed maintaining his train memorabilia collection and traveling to Colorado to visit his son, grandson, and extended family.

He is survived by his grandson, Grayden McNaughton as well as his sisters, Patricia Tallman, Roberta Kroh and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Relatives and friends are invited to his graveside service on Friday, March 17 ^th at 1:00 PM at the Williamstown Methodist Cemetery on Church Street in Williamstown.
