Raymond F. Trombetta, Sr., of Williamstown, NJ, age 88, passed away surrounded by his loving family on June 2, 2023.
Raymond was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a salesman for Abbott's Dairy in Philadelphia and worked for Amoroso Bakery. He later owned and operated RLR Ice Cream Distributors, before retiring. Ray was a member of St. Mary's Church / Our Lady of Peace Parish and also a member of the Knights of Columbus Mater Christi Council # 3352. He enjoyed a good meal, especially his hoagies and pizza, spending time at the beach, and cherished the time spent with his grandchildren.
Beloved husband of Maryann Trombetta (nee Kozlowski). Devoted father of Raymond F. Trombetta, Jr., Patricia "Patty" Reuter, and Stephanie Grosstephan (Joseph). Loving grandfather of Tony Grosstephan (Christina), Alicia Kelsten (Matthew), Nicholas Grosstephan, Allison Reuter (Tyler Williams), and Joseph Grosstephan, Jr. Loving great grandfather of Dominic and Benjamin Grosstephan. He was predeceased by his siblings Angelina "Rita" Zecca-Herin (the late George), John Trombetta (the late Maryann), Anna Mae Caristo (the late Gabe), William Trombetta, Jr. (the late Ray), Louis Trombetta (the late Marion), Richard Trombetta (Lorraine), Barbara Gasperini (the late Dominic), Anthony Trombetta (Dorothy), and is survived by his brothers Alexander Trombetta, Robert Trombetta (the late Joanne). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Wednesday, June 7th from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at St. Mary's Church / Our Lady of Peace Parish, S. Main St. & Carroll Avenue, Williamstown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 PM. Inurnment will follow in the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.
