Robert E. Kunze, Sr., age 81, of Monroeville, NJ, passed away on June 19th, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.
Known for his strong will and humble nature, Bob was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. For 62 wonderful years, he shared a loving marriage with the love of his life, Edna. Together they raised their family, creating a lifetime of memories. He dedicated 42 years of service to the music industry, beginning his career with Columbia Records and ultimately retiring from Sony Music. Outside of work, he was an active member of the Eastern Square Wheelers of NJ camping club, where he enjoyed time outdoors and created lasting friendships. He enjoyed riding his John Deere, taking care of his yard, tending to his garden, and woodworking. A devoted Mason, he was deeply involved with the Laurel Lodge # 237 F&AM and achieved the distinguished honor of becoming a 33rd Degree Mason through the Scottish Rite and many other accomplishments throughout his lifetime. Above all, he will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted family man, and a loyal friend.
Beloved husband of Edna S. Kunze (nee Spratt). Devoted father of Robert E. Kunze, Jr. (Gabrielle) and Jennifer L. Scalia (Michael). Loving grandfather of Rebecca Lee, Robert John, Julianna Rose, and Michael James. Dear brother of Jean Char (the late Joseph). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, extended family members, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Louis H. Kunze and Sara E. (nee Schaffhauser)
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Saturday, June 27th, 2026 from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM, at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, NJ, 08094. A Memorial Service will begin at 11:30 AM. Interment will take place privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bob’s memory to Children’s Dyslexia Center of NJ c/o Ian Corman, 1976 Kirksbride Circle, Yardley, PA, 19007.
