Robert J. Voigt, 77, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away on August 7, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.  Born in Fayetteville, NC, he grew up in Lindenwold, NJ before settling in Williamstown.

"Voigt" as he was known, served the Monroe Twp. Police Department for 26 years, before retiring in 2005 with the rank of Lieutenant.  He was a US Army Veteran, serving in Berlin, Germany and in the Vietnam War.  He received the Silver Star for actions performed, and he also received the Purple Heart Medal during his service in Vietnam.  Bob enjoyed hunting, traveling, and going to the gym. He was rarely seen without his New York Yankees and Giants attire, as he was an avid fan. He was a teacher and mentor to many, well respected and loved by all who knew him.

Beloved husband of Ilene Voigt (nee Poland).  Devoted father of Robert Voigt, Jr.  (Manuela), Michele Stewien (Norbert), Jacqueline Voigt, Heather Wiemer (Howard), and Jason Voigt (Jennifer).  Loving grandfather of Yasmin (Devrim), Daniel, Stephanie, Kimberly, Jamie Lee, Stephen (Chelsie), Felicia, Nicholas, Rebecca, Jason, Jessica, Victoria, Ethan, Joanna, Aiden, Matthew, Gavin, Joshua, Emily and Daniel.  Treasured great grandfather of Amelie, Neliya, Jaylee, Ilay, Lewis, Hanna, Elias, Elsie, Zelda and Stevie.  Dear brother of Joseph Voigt (Connie). Uncle of Joseph Voigt and Bryan Voigt.   He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Wednesday, August 11th from 5:00 – 7:30 PM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, where a memorial service will be held at 7:30 PM.
