Ruth Eleanor Foley (nee Dolan), age 93, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away on November 17, 2024.
She was born and raised in Boston, MA, where she attended both high school and college. She married her husband Brian in 1950 and spent 26 years as an Army wife, living in numerous cities around the United States. In 1973, they settled in Sicklerville until moving to Williamstown in 2002.
Ruth worked for the Winslow Township Municipality in the court office. She was involved in activities at St. John Neumann Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. She loved reading and belonged to the Monroe Library book club and listened to books on tape every evening. She retired to Juniper Village and enjoyed resident activities, especially painting.
Beloved wife of the late Brian S. Foley. Devoted mother of Ruth A. Deutsch (the late David), Carole B. Smith (Michael), Jean E. Decker (Richard), and Mark B. Foley (Brenda). Loving grandmother of Jennifer E. Roldan, Sarah E. Deutsch, Ellen K. Stafford, Timothy J. Decker, Arick M. Decker, Bronwyn L. Decker, Nikolas E. Decker, Jacob B. Foley and great grandmother of 8. She was predeceased by all of her Dolan siblings.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday, November 21st from 2:30 – 4:30 PM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 22nd at 1:00 PM at St. Mary's Church / Our Lady of Peace Parish, S. Main Street and Carroll Ave., Williamstown. (There will be no viewing on Friday prior to Mass.) Cremation will be held privately following services.
