Obituary

Shaun Anthony Snead of Pennsville, NJ, age 30, passed away suddenly on March 24, 2024. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, cousin, stepfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Shaun was born on July 18th, 1993 in Vineland, NJ. He lived in Malaga, NJ with his family. He attended Franklin Township Public Schools and Delsea Regional School District, where he was an honor student and graduated in 2011. He went on to attend Rowan College of Cumberland County where he received his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. While he was there, he was chosen to be the graduation speaker and received a host of awards.

He had many jobs throughout his young life. He worked as a substitute teacher/paraprofessional for Winslow Twp. School District for several years. His most recent job was as a Rehab Technician at Epiphany Wellness in Blackwood, NJ. Throughout his career, he was known for his hardwork, dedication, and passion for helping others.

But more than anything, Shaun was a devoted Christian. My man loved the lord. Reading the Bible and various religious books was his way of gaining a deeper knowledge of the Bible as well as knowledge of other religions. He was a true man of God who was a trustee in his church home at Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church and later became an ordained minister on Aug. 29th, 2021.

Shaun loved his family, but he had an extra special place in his heart for his grandfather. He idolized him from a very young age and strived to be like him. He loved spending time with his sisters and cousins; sharing stories, playing games (monopoly), and eating his favorite foods (Snickers, Ramen, and Sushi). He also enjoyed watching Spongebob and Anime. He was always offering guidance, support, and encouragement and was eager to share his knowledge and opinion with others no matter how controversial.

Beloved son of Sheila Snead and Damon Mills. Grandson of Burnice and Ethel Snead. Loving brother of Shilah Minerva (Bryan), Shyanne Vollmer (David), and Amani Mills. His cousins who were like sisters Brianna Snead, Alexis Snead, and Carley Masso (Angelo). Adorable niece Leilani Minerva. Stepdaughter Sarai. His godmother Cari McClain and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, March 29th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main St. Williamstown, NJ 08094, and again on Saturday, March 30th from 2:30 - 3:30 PM, where a funeral service will be held at 3:30 PM.  Cremation will be held privately following services.
