Stephen G. Jones, age 70, of Erial, NJ, passed away on April 8th, 2026.

Stephen lived a God centered life on faith, family and service. A dedicated Deacon of St. Matthew's Baptist Church, he found great purpose in leading and nurturing the youth ministry. He had a deep love for sports, especially football and basketball, and found true joy in coaching. A true family man, he cherished every moment spent with loved ones and friends. He enjoyed cooking and especially baking Christmas cookies, traveling, and embracing every opportunity to explore new places.

Beloved husband of Stephanie Jones (nee Turner). Dear father of Stephen R. Jones. Cherished brother of Barbara Anderson (Harold), Marolynne Troutman (Ronald), Aronna Drinks (Michael), Lawrence Jones (Diane), and the late Judith Wallace, Mikki Jones and Darryl Jones. Loving brother – in – law of Lynette Wooden, June Turner, Shawn McEady and George Turner. Adoring grandfather of Hassan Henderson and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with family on Thursday, April 23rd, from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM, at St. Matthew's Baptist Church, 245 Glassboro Road, Williamstown, NJ, 08094. A memorial service will begin at 10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Stephen's name to the St. Matthew's Baptist Church Youth Ministry at the address listed above.
