Obituary

Theodore L. Clark, Sr., age 90, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

Ted honorably served his country in the U.S. Army for over 20 years and during that time, he was in the Korean and Vietnam Wars.  A generous man, Ted made it a point to share anything he had with others; he would give you the shirt off of his back.  He was always a positive person and would tell a joke or have a laugh with anyone.  In his younger years, he was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.  He was an avid camper at Parvin State Park and was the founder of the "My Way" Camping Club.  Mr. Clark was recognized by the NJ State Park Association for spearheading the successful efforts to save the state parks. Ted was also very well-known for being Santa Claus at many events throughout his lifetime.

Beloved husband of nearly 70 years to Virginia Clark (nee Hyson).  Devoted father of Theodore Clark, Jr., the late Evelyn Poe (the late John), Virginia Hammell (Glenn), and Larry Clark.  Father-in-law of Mary Dougher.  Loving grandfather of Brian Poe (Meghan), Shannon Wallin (Jeff), Scott Hammell (Kate), the late Matthew Clark, Sandy Anderson (Jeff), Sara Barbera (Blase), and Theodore Clark, III (Kelly).  Loving great-grandfather of Katelyn, Madison, Emily, Nehemiah, and Avery.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Tuesday, May 24 th from 12:30 – 1:00 PM at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 240 N. Tuckahoe Rd., Williamstown, where a graveside service with military honors will follow.
